Primary Responsibilities :

  • Facilitates all Scrum events, sprint planning, daily scrums, reviews, and retrospectives — keeping them focused, purposeful, and meaningful for the team 
  • Removes barriers that slow the team down, proactively identifying risks or blockers before they impact delivery 
  • Supports the team on Agile principles and ways of working, helping them continuously improve and strengthen their self-management and collaboration 
  • Champions the Scrum values of courage, openness, commitment, focus, and respect, bringing them to life in every conversation and decision 
  • Protects the team’s focus, creating space for them to deliver high-quality work without distraction 
  • Promotes a mindset of experimentation and learning, encouraging reflection, curiosity, and small, continuous improvements 
  • Builds strong connections across business, technology, and operations to align priorities and keep work flowing smoothly 
  • Partners closely with the Product Owner to bring clarity of vision, shared goals, and alignment on what success looks like 
  • Tracks and communicates progress openly, sharing insights on performance, improvements, and learnings with stakeholders and leaders 
  • Supports the growth of Agile ways of working across FGF, helping shape an environment where teams can do their best work 
  • Inspires autonomy, accountability, and shared ownership — empowering teams to take pride in what they build and how they deliver

  • Scrum and Agile knowledge with a deep understanding of frameworks, values, and principles, and their practical application in varied contexts 
  • Facilitation skills to lead productive discussions, decision-making sessions, and retrospectives that drive outcomes 
  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills to address issues constructively and maintain a healthy team dynamic 
  • Organizational awareness and the ability to navigate complex environments to align team goals with enterprise objectives

Required Experience :

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master within a product or software development environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred 
  • Proven experience facilitating Scrum events, supporting Agile teams, and guiding process improvements 
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms for backlog and sprint management 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams or complex projects while maintaining alignment with strategic goals 
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments that include engineering, design, and business teams 
  • Exposure to scaling frameworks such as SAFeLeSS, or Scrum@Scale is an asset 
  • Certification as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent is required
