Software QA Analyst

We’re a naan traditional company…

Job Summary:

Join us as a Software QA - Mobile Automation Analyst and take ownership of quality for our iOS and Android apps using Appium, Playwright, and BroswerStack. You’ll ship flawless releases, pioneer LLM-powered test generation (GPT-4o, Llama 3.1 via LangChain), and drive JMeter load tests in Azure Load Test. Turn bugs into AI breakthroughs. Report directly to the QA Lead to align on priorities and accelerate AI-native quality.

What FGF Offers:

  • FGF believes in Home Grown Talent, accelerated career growth with leadership training.  Unleashing Your Potential
  • Competitive Compensation, Health Benefits, & a generous flexible medical / Health spending account
  • RRSP matching program
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Discount program that covers almost everything under the sun - Restaurants, gyms, shopping etc.

What you’ll Do:

You’ll test features end-to-end on real devices and BrowserStack cloud labs, ensuring flawless UI/UX, performance under load, and resilience on spotty networks. You’ll design and maintain automated test suites in Appium and Playwright, integrate them into Azure Pipelines, and reduce flakiness with smart waits and self-healing locators. You’ll partner with developers in Agile stand-ups, log precise bugs in Azure DevOps, and track coverage in Allure reports hosted on Azure Artifacts. You’ll experiment with LLMs (GPT-4o, Gemini) via LangChain to auto-generate test scenarios from user stories, run visual diffs with Azure Playwright Tracing or custom pixel-match scripts, and monitor crashes with Azure App Insights. You’ll drive performance validation using JMeter integrated into Azure Load Test, and propose process wins—like scaling BrowserStack parallel runs or adding axe-core accessibility scans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test mobile applications against functional and non-functional requirements
  • Create and maintain detailed test cases and traceability matrices
  • Perform UI/UX validation and document results across devices
  • Contribute to AI-powered QA tools, including LLM-based test script generation and autonomous test orchestration
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum standups and provide QA progress updates
  • Research emerging technologies and propose innovative QA solutions
  • Collaborate with developers and QA team to ensure quality, compatibility, and timely delivery
  • Respond to ad-hoc QA requests and support multiple in-house applications

Key Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-2 years hands-on mobile QA automation with Appium, Playwright, XCUITest, Espresso, or Detox.
  • Proficiency in Java/Kotlin, Swift, TypeScript, Python, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Fastlane).
  • Deep knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, BDD, WCAG 2.2, and OWASP Mobile Top 10.
  • Experience with cloud device farms (BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm, Firebase) and artifact management (TestRail, Xray, Allure).
  • Curious, collaborative, and obsessed with clean bugs — you explain defects like you’re telling a story.

Strong Plus:

  • Production experience with LLMs (prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning via Hugging Face, OpenRouter).
  • Built agentic workflows using LangGraph, AutoGen, or Swarm.
  • Implemented visual AI testing (Applitools, Screenplay, Chromatic) or ML-based flakiness detection.
