Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to support the Engineering Infrastructure & Facilities team. This role is embedded within an Engineering shared services model, providing centralized sourcing support for multiple bakery plants FGF & WB. The successful candidate will manage procurement for infrastructure and facilities projects, MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) services, and facility-related expenditures. The role works closely with both plant-based engineering teams and the internal OEM Engineering group to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective sourcing solutions. This position reports to the VP Infrastructure & Facilities.

Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Procurement
- Lead sourcing initiatives for engineering and infrastructure-related projects, including HVAC, utilities, process systems, and facilities upgrades across bakery plants
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with infrastructure and facilities project timelines, OEM Engineering inputs, and shared services objectives.
- Vendor & Contract Management o Identify and evaluate suppliers for technical capabilities, service quality, and cost competitivenes
- Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, and long-term agreements with vendors and contractors.
- Manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance metrics for multiple plant locations.
- Project Coordination o Collaborate with plant engineering teams and OEM Engineering to gather project requirements and technical specifications
- Monitor sourcing deliverables to support infrastructure and facilities project milestones across bakery operations.
- Provide procurement, support documentation and budget alignment across the shared services for various plants/projects
Cost Optimization & Compliance
- Accountable for costs and reductions while upholding quality, food safety, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all sourcing activities comply with internal plant policies, standard operating procedures, and company procurement guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned with site-level rules, EH&S standards, and engineering protocols.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations, including those related to construction, utilities, environmental impact, and labor where applicable
- Identify opportunities for cost avoidance, risk mitigation, and value engineering within infrastructure and facilities procurement.
Data & Analytics
- Maintain and analyze sourcing reports, spend reports, and savings initiatives across multiple sites.
- Offer procurement insights and recommendations to collaborative teams
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Engineering, and or Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in a food manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
- Proven experience supporting multi-site operations or shared service environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and facilities sourcing, including coordination with internal engineering/OEM groups.
- Strong negotiation and project coordination skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. Must be able to drive to sites, access to a vehicle
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a bakery or food processing manufacturing setting.
- Understanding of GMP, food safety compliance, and utility/facility infrastructure standards.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, PMP) is an asset.
