Summary
Our team is growing, and we are actively looking to hire an ELL Instructor, to join the Learning & Development team!
The ELL Instructor, reports directly to the Vice President, Learning & Development and supports the design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the ELL programs to enhance the capabilities of all team members in manufacturing and home office at FGF.
Shift Timing - 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. Travel is required between facilities and access to a vehicle.

Primary Responsibilities
- Delivers instruction to English language learners in accordance with Canadian Language Benchmarks, and performs all duties associated with Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA), specific program curriculum, and other guidelines.
- Develop appropriate lesson plans, teaching methodologies, materials, and activities based on the experiences, social contexts, and life goals of learners.
- Collaborates with other staff to ensure team members’ success and integration in programming.
- Starts classes on time and adheres to the scheduled breaks and dismissal time.
- Using PBLA assessment practices and principles, evaluates the progress of learners on an on-going basis, and promotes them to the next level as appropriate.
- Monitors learners’ attendance follows up with learners who are absent or are at risk of dropping out, and informs Leader if attendance drops.
- Submits curriculum outlines, lesson plans, attendance records, and statistical and program reports on time.
- Maintains program resources (e.g., computers, instructional materials, books, etc.) and ensures they are in good condition.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree(s) in Teaching, Adult.
- CELTA/DELTA/TESL Canada Level One Certification; current member in good standing.
- Fully trained in Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA) an asset.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in teaching English as a Second Language and implementing PBLA.
- Experience using technology and delivering online classes and hybrid models effectively.
- Experience in teaching multi-levels in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
